Associate Minister: Meghan Byerly
Meghan joins us as part-time Associate Minister, alongside her PhD studies. As well as studying, she is doing some teaching in ethics for Northern Baptist College, Manchester.
She was previously Associate minister at Dronfield Baptist Church, and an intern minister Freemason Street Baptist Church, Norfolk, Virginia. She was educated and trained for ministry at George W. Truett Theological Seminary, Baylor University, Waco, Texas, and The Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, Virginia.
Meghan is married to Ryan and the mother of two wiggly boys, Tommy and Samuel. As a native of Texas who has only lived in England since Fall (editorial translation: Autumn!) 2015, she enjoys spending her spare time with all three of her boys exploring the local sites and taking in northern England’s culture, history, and way of life.

Lead Minister: James Chapman
James has been at CRB since 2010, first as Associate Minister and since 2014 as Lead Minister. Previously he was minister at Newthorpe Baptist Church, near Nottingham. Before his ordination as a Baptist minister, he had experience in social work and business management.
James teaches Theology and Biblical Studies for ForMission College in Leeds and is an Associate Tutor for Northern Baptist College. So far in 2018, James has been in Ghana teaching Missiology and Comparative Religions on a MA Course at the Ghana Baptist University College, Kumasi. Also he has been to Sweden sharing in a Conference on Integrating Refugees and migrants with the European Baptist Federation, presenting a seminar on multi-ethnic Church.

Assistant Pastor: John Maison
Originally from Ghana, John was previously the pastor of the Berean Baptist Temple, and a minister-in-training at CRB, whilst studying at St Hild Theological Centre, in Sheffield. He has experience in Church planting as presiding elder with the Church of Pentecost.
John is working part time helping to coordinate cross-cultural relationships in the Church and integrate new members.

Young People and Families Pastor: Tony Harris
Tony, originally a Coventry Lad, joined the team at CRB in 2017 and enjoys navigating his way around Sheffield and indeed South Yorkshire as well as getting to know the church and members and of course the young people.
He is a passionate sports and Rugby fan. He describes himself as a “manic midlander heading north with a head full of ideas and a belly full of laughs.” No one is contradicting that definition. Tony is a family man with a beautiful wife (Sarah) and 4 adorable young boys (Euan, Nate, Cody and Oscar).

Farsi Project Worker
Mohsen Dehghan is our Farsi Project Worker.
Originally from Iran, Mohsen has been at CRB since February 2016. His responsibility is to coordinate and support the ministry that happens with Farsi speakers and others from the Middle East region.
He became a Christian in 2015 and enjoys sharing his faith, and encouraging others in city centre evangelism. Mohsen is currently studying for a degree in missional theology at ForMission College, Leeds.
He is a passionate football supporter – of a red team on the other side of the pennines, and is a creative chef in his spare time.

Carol Moore is the Church Secretary. Carol coordinates the ‘behind the scenes’ work of the Church, having a good overview of Church life and the minsters’ diaries. She is on the Executive Group of the Yorkshire Baptist Association, and a coordinator of the BME Women Ministers Network. As a member of the Network Carol is privileged to be part of a joint mission to South Africa in May 2017, along with BME Methodist women ministers. When not involved in Church related matters, she is a health visitor and on a fast-learning curve in grandparenthood.
Lizzy Levy is our Church administrator. She works on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Her ‘off-time’ is spent organising three teenage children, pursuing an interest in art, and coaching athletics. She is a full-time mum to three teenage children and one very lively dog.
Steve and Karen Knox are our Caretakers.
Steve was previously a plate maker for the press at the Sheffield Star, and has a passion for the exploits of the blue and white half of the city. Karen formerly worked as a customer service manager for McDonalds, and now retired from road running manages Steve and their two children.
