• Harvest service followed by bring-and-share meal, Sunday 11th October, 10:30 a.m.

Each year, we celebrate harvest as a way of giving thanks for God’s faithful provision and as we remember our Christian responsibility to care for one another. On Sunday 11th October we’ll be marking harvest with a special service, where Rev’d Graham Ensor (outing YBA Team Leader) will be preaching, with:

- A collection of tinned (or other long-life) foodstuffs during the service, for the S11 foodbank.

- A financial collection for the BMS 2026 Harvest Appeal: https://bmsworldmission.org/change-agents

- A bring-and-share meal after the service with more instructions to follow about arrangements and timings over the coming weeks.

Please do join in with the service, the appeal(s) and meal as you’re able!

• Church ceilidh, with pie and pea supper, Saturday 17th October,         4-7p.m.

The church Events team have organised this wonderful ceilidh (barn dance), provided by the Bracken Rigg ceilidh band, for Saturday, 17th October. Tickets £6.50 for adults and £3 for children. Tickets available from Eventbrite (please follow the link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ceilidh-tickets-1990879506196 ). Please state any dietary requirements, and whether you give your consent for your photo to be taken, when making your Eventbrite booking. The dance will be in 2 x 45-minute sets, with a break for food in the middle. • Men's breakfast, Saturday 21st November, 9 a.m., Community Room

• CRBC Christmas fair: Saturday, 5th December, 10am-2pm​

Call for Stallholders – Christmas Craft Fair!

We’re excited to announce our Local Christmas Craft Fair taking place on Saturday 5th December 2026 at Cemetery Road Baptist Church (entrance via Napier Street) - and we’re looking for talented makers, crafters, and other small businesses to join us!

If you create handmade gifts, festive decorations, art, prints, woodwork, jewellery or any other seasonal gifts, we’d love to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to showcase your work, meet the community, and be part of a local event full of festive spirit!

- Event Date: Saturday 5th December

- Location: Cemetery Road Baptist Church, off Napier Street, S11 8HA

- Time: Event will run from 10am to 2pm (setup from 8.30am)

Who can apply: Local artists, crafters, makers, small businesses, and community groups

- Stall fee: £15 (includes a table 186cm x 68cm and chairs)

- Deadline to apply: 5th October 2026, after which we will confirm if you have secured a spot and formalise the booking with payment.

We will do our best to reduce stall duplications to ensure that there is a wonderful mix of stallholders, exhibitors, activities and shopping opportunities for the local community to enjoy!
